History
We are a family owned and family run business and have gained a sound reputation
for our caring and thoughtful approach towards the deceased and their families
in their time of need.
The family established the business in the early part of the last century by Wilfred Smith, known locally as Wilf, who was the son of a local well known Horsebreaker, Blacksmith and Wheelwright, William Smith. At the age of 16 William persuaded his son to take up a carpentry apprenticeship and from these roots the business has developed. For the past 25 years the business has been run by Andrew Wilfred Smith, son of the late Wilf and Kathleen Smith who both died in 1996.
